HarriAnns Nonya Table (Bugis Junction)

HarriAnns Nonya Table (Bugis Junction)

Harrianns Nonya Table The story begin from the starting with a young woman who must find a way of feeding her family when her husband died. It's been more than half a century ago that the now 90-year-old Mdm Chia Nguk Eng started hawking stale rice in the Tiong Bahru area out of desperation to feed his two children. It's simple fare. Only steamed sticky rice flavored with lard, peanuts and fried onions are sold from wheelbarrows along Tiong Bahru street, but that's enough to keep the family running.

Know the hawker has been grow as a best restaurant at Bugis, Really nice to see new cafes popping up that serve a heritage dish. With so many new cafes popping up that serve generic western food, it's great to know that the food at harrianns is traditional and full of handmade excitement.
