The Jcube mall open from 10am until 10pm, and for your information Jcube is a home Singapore first Olympic-Size ice rink, and the first branch of IMAX theater. Long ago, before Jcube, the name of the mall is JEC or Jurong Entertainment Centre, and in 2010, the name was change to JCube, which J mean Jurong, and Cube represent what JCube was looks like.

With the existing of Jcube in Jurong, people will have a choice to where to go, if you want to try ice-skate, the Jcube is the best choice, if you are looking to watch a movie, Jcube have an IMAX, and if you are looking for a place to eat, does the JCube really good at “Food Centre”? Since the Jcube focus to entertainment, I’m not sure how good Jcube is.

So me and the gang decide to try, the first impress, the appearance of the mall is quite awesome and unique, the shape of the mall really look like an ice cube. And in the night, the building have an aqua blue color (light) and it changes for the unknown time. Not only blue, it randomly changes by itself. Quite nice and cool.

After impressed with the building, so we start to explore the mall, Crowded enough at the evening (6pm) and also we have a lot of option for what we gonna eat around, so first we try the restaurant below for the first restaurant we’ve visited.

One Ice Cafe (JCube)

One Ice Cafe (JCube)

The Korean Ice dessert or Bingsu, an original recipe and adapted to Singaporean taste, One Ice Café, seriously have a good Bingsu here, at the random time, One Ice Café always crowded, of course, the cheap price also the one reason why the Bingsu being a favorite of the Singaporean people’s.

The favorite of my gang is the Oreo Bingsu, the portion seriously huge for 1 person, until we must share each other and need at least 10-15 minutes to eat the Bingsu. Really worth to try. One ice Café have a lot option here, From Oreo, Pat, Choco Banana and etc. the price range is around S$5-S$10++. And if you interested to try, you can come to 2 Jurong East Central 1, #02-67 JCube and need at least 5 minutes until 10 minutes to wait from order to enjoy the Bingsu.

Isuramuya Japanese Restaurant & Marketplace

Isuramuya is Singapore’s first Japanese Restaurant with an on-premise marketplace. The concept is quite clear and obviously a concept like a hawker inside the restaurant. The Isuramuya is an authentic and also Halal-certified Japanese food prepared with ingredients flown direct from Japan and shop at our marketplace for Japanese foodstuff. The place also look modern and bright, It's a nice cool place to be sitting above the ice skating rink while you eat.

Spicy Miso Ramen, The Chicken (char sew) and the Spicy miso is quite great and tasty, and if you want to try the original Miso Ramen you can try the regular Miso with Chicken Kaarage. The best combination at Isuramuya. Even the food is quite good, the price not really friendly at all, The concept might a Hawker style but the average price at least you will spent S$15 /pax.

Itacho Sushi (JCube)

Itacho Sushi x Jika Udon was a favorite and who doesn’t know this restaurant? The Sushi have a lot of variation, Duck Sushi, is that a sushi? Sushi should base on Fish or Meat fish, but Itacho Sushi does really know how to make them better and better, the Udon (Jika Udon) also have a lot of variation like one of our favorite is the Tomato Seafood Udon, even in the moment, the taste of the food taste like a Assam Laksa with Tomato Sauce.

The price seriously standard at the class like Itacho Sushi x Jika Udon. At least you will spend S$50 and full Guarantee your tummy will get bigger. The price for one pax, The taste of the food make the price worth. Even Itacho Sushi x Jika Udon have some branches around the Singapore, different branch mean different service, we got lil’ bit disappointment for the service at Jcube, hope the waiters can improve themselves.

Manna Story is the Korean restaurant near the ice skating rink, if you look at the outside of the restaurant, you will see the Ice Skating Rink, quite fun and nice, with the dark theme, and the yellow lamps, quite make us dizzy and fuzzy for a bit, however, the food that Manna Story have make us get better when we eat the food.

Best recommend and a must try is the Spicy Beef soup (Yukgaejang S$13++) and the Man’tory set (S$39++). The Spicy Beef Soup have a lot of fans here, and the must try for the spicy lovers. the soup honestly not really spicy but enough. You can add the spice oil if you want. And the Man’tory set not recommend for 2 people, at least 3-4 persons if you won’t get too full.

About the Eighteen Chefs, Eighteen Chefs also a Western food and more Asian taste than the Astons. Eighteen Chefs have a Spaghetti Salted Egg Prawn which Salted Egg is an Asian Cuisine.

The must try food is Pan-fried Turkey Breasts with Cranberry Jam (S$16.80) The dish definitely isn't the cheapest, but we must say that it's well-worth the splurge (compared to their regular menu where students, NSF and pioneers can easily spend less than S$12). The turkey breasts came in 3 sizeable slabs.

Toriki

Toriki

Yakitori, is a Japanese Satay style. But if Toriki? It’snt a food but it was a restaurant name which it located at Jcube on 4th floor. You do not have to worry about the place, all you need to do just come and no queue for some reason. Even the food good enough. But need at least 15 minutes or more  when you order the food, Long enough.

How about the Toriki food? Toriki really serve a good Toriyaki, especially A4. The A4 wagyu is served with wasabi and a garnish from Kyushu. Preferred the wasabi as it gives a clean taste to the meat. Was hoping to have freshly grated wasabi though. Well, not bad, if you want to try, I recommend you to bring more money for more fun.
