What people say about Penguin’s Kitchen

36 reviews
  • We had the green curry and garlic pork and both portions were reasonable

  • I forgot to take a pic of the basil pork we also got but the portion was hugeeee and hence really worth

  • Also felt like the portion was a bit small given the price but gotta say it was definitely one of the better green curries I’ve eaten (taste wise)

  • Had been fried with an abundance of garlic

  • Had a distinct wokhei taste to it and was overall pretty tasty

  • The vegetable itself was crunchy and the sauce was thick and savoury

  • Was a bit disappointed as the squid was overcooked

  • The soup itself was quite good

  • It had a strong lemongrass fragrance which I liked and it was not too sour either

  • The garlic fried pork ($12) was supposed to be the crowning jewel of Thai Jing Jing and I was excited to try it

  • Whilst the garlic fragrance was transcendent

  • The meat itself was a bit too dry and tough

  • Texture of the pork is as important as the taste

  • Perhaps it was an off day

  • As the other dishes were still pretty good

  • I would say the food is very authentic and good

  • I went with the normal one and it was really hot

  • Trust me when i say this is a must order dish here at Penguin’s Kitchen

  • Glistening thick pork strips fried together with full garlic cloves

  • All of these came together to form a harmony of flavour that was so delightful we couldn’t resist ordering one more plate

  • The garlic in the dish were really well fried too and gave off an aromatic smell

  • Definitely understand why this dish is a must get

  • Pickled ginger is a no for me

  • There’s this liquid or sauce that the eggs are sitting on

  • Pairing the century egg with the coriander and the chilli was quite nice

  • The noodles were so al dente

  • While the huge wantons filled with generous amount of shrimp and also the crispy & tender roast pork

  • Garlic pork was too dry and could barely glimpse onions in the egg omelette

  • Ordered this for an obligatory vegetable dish and I was completely blown away

  • With the oyster sauce it was fried with

  • The chicken pieces are tender and succulent

  • While the garlic pieces were fried to golden perfection which made them crispy and super fragrant

  • I have a newfound love for garlic and this was right up my alley

  • Tender pork with crispy garlic bits

  • The rice sets are still as good

  • They each come with zingy tom yum soup and an oozy fried egg
