What people say about Woodlands Sourdough

48 reviews
  • The doughnuts are fluffy and tangy like those old school bakery fluffy doughnut but with a sour tang

  • Flavours change every 2 3 weeks (I think) and there are 2 3 flavours each time

  • Passion fruit glazed with desiccated coconut) and my favourite is maple glazed

  • They are very generous with the ingredients

  • The creaminess of the tahini and freshness of the onions adds another dimension to the richness of the hummus and just works with the roasted cauliflower

  • Rustic apple tart with frangipane filling

  • A slice of apple on top of generous frangipane filling that is not sweet in a buttery shortcrust pastry tart

  • It was a 40 minute queue under the scorching hot sun with maybe 10 people in front of me at 1030am on a Saturday

  • 2) that the bakes you want will get sold out while you are queuing this is the biggest bummer for me

  • Their sandwiches are always huge and filling

  • I like that the bread is tangy with a crispy crust be prepared for some jaw workout

  • I always get one of their sandwiches along with some other random bakes

  • It is moist and rich with that extra crunch and it's not too sweet too 😋

  • The lemon sesame teacake was slightly sweet and pretty fragrant

  • The praline brownie is one of my favourite brownies

  • The top was crinkly while the inside was moist and chewy

  • This sourdough is really chewy and has a sour flavour

  • This sandwich ($10) is a sourdough burger bun instead of their sourdough roll

  • It's much softer but with the same tanginess and fluffiness

  • It's stuffed with a large omelette

  • They were definitely generous with the ingredients

  • Especially when paired with their fantastic sourdough

  • It is a rustic poached peach tart with frangipane like filling that is not sweet at all topped with poached pear

  • Babka is slightly dense and there is not enough filling for me

  • While their bakes are excellent —savour the Vegan Bialy ($6)

  • Its juicy patty was let down by an overabundance of fattiness causing a slight lack in bite

  • It delivered a medley of flavours that was firmly anchored by the buns' slight funk and resistance to sogginess

  • This popcorn eclair packed plenty of popcorn fragrance and was delightful to munch on with its soft doughiness complemented by the nice glaze

  • The popcorn adorning the eclair was a bit soggy so they didn't provide that textural zing I expected

  • There was a goat's milk dulce de leche version that was sold out when I arrived

  • I can only imagine how good that must be since this popcorn version was already really good

  • Portion of this was pretty big so it’s well worth it’s price of $10

  • Was initially sceptical as this was a simple vegetarian pizza with only onions and cheese

  • So generous with the ingredients

  • Every mouthful is filled with shredded carrot

  • The chocolate is so so so rich

  • The one thing I will always rave about is their toast

  • Crunchy crust encasing sourdough that is dense with a nice wet bite

  • The toast goes oh so well with the entire array of their homemade spreads

  • Sometimes simplicity and good execution is all you need

  • Everything was freshly made and tasted great

  • Their bagels were also worth the mention

  • Particularly loved the bagel with sesame and tasty scallions cream cheese spread

  • Just somehow when they are played atop the sourdough

  • The nature of the taste of sourdough just competes too much with the fantastic nut butter

  • That time i was around later and they were still opened

  • Gooey melt in your mouth with that hint of balsamic sweet and sournezs 4.25/5

  • Super fudgy brownie which was memorable enough on its own but the soft and juicy balsamic strawberry seals the deal
