  • The Coffee Academics is opened for takeaways during this circuit breaker period

  • Served along with baby spinach

  • The Coffee Academics is opened for takeaways during this Circuit Breaker period

  • The portion of pasta was just nice and the pasta was perfectly cooked

  • Usually most places would be stingy with the crab meat shreds but this pasta had small chunks of it throughout

  • It’s spiciness is at the right level for me

  • Just as many other reviews commented the Mains were decent enough but very overpriced

  • I thought that this is only worth it with the 1 for 1 deal

  • Can’t remember the exact name or price of this dish but I guess the description is close enough

  • Thought this was pretty good but I guess the reason for it being ~$26 is not because it taste exceptionally nice but because the big piece of salmon which they give

  • I know that the crusts is supposed to be slightly harder than the rest of the pizza but this pizza was so crispy that I’d imagine it qualify as a frisbee

  • Spaghetti sautéed with Impossible minced meat

  • The presentation was beautiful and every component of the dish worked well to complement one another

  • Got it together on the Burrple 1 1 with smoked salmon beetroot Rosti

  • The caramelised banana and toffee dip truly was the limelight of this pancake more than the espresso butter in my opinion

  • The rosti was unique with beetroot undertones

  • A sunny side up egg with slightly runny yolk and

  • The golden syrup was made fragrant with the aroma of espresso beans

  • Prosciutto ham was an addition to the meal (+5) there were several slices rolled up in the seemingly teeny portion so it's actually pretty reasonably priced

  • The pancakes were pretty light and fluffy not too jelat but doesnt really taste strongly of ricotta on its own

  • This dish in overall is extremely outstanding because of several 'made in house' accompaniments

  • Its homemade caramel tasted like burnt caramel while the fluffy whipped cream was extremely frothy and milky

  • It's served with half a slice of banana layered with a thin strip of crispy caramel for yet another sweet

  • Very satisfied with this choice of the all day breakfast set

  • Value for money with the 1 for 1 beyond deal

  • Shaved truffles with eggs were da bomb

  • Golden snapper tacos with curly fries

  • Just didn't like the veg that came with it as it was quite out of place

  • Umami Pasta was a real kick

  • I thought the pizza crust is a little too thin for my liking

  • The 3 Meat Pizza (S$24.00) was one of the latest additions to the menu of The Coffee Academics

  • What truly amazed me was the pizza crust

  • As though I was eating some sort of baked crackers

  • That was a good thing for me because I hated it when the crusts were too greasy

  • This pizza was just nice for someone with an average appetite

  • Pasta is al dente and the sauce is well balanced but it could be a little spicy for many

  • It comes with sweet potato fries with crispy bun

  • Really appreciated the top layer of brown sugar that went well with the latte ❤️

  • Loved the texture of the sourdough that was spread with avocado garlic butter

  • Serving of the avocado was generous and the chicken breast was tender

  • I would have appreciated the salad better with some drizzle/ sauce

  • The scrambled eggs and halloumi cheese was good though

  • Of course that fiery kick of spice this fusion dish was indeed full of umami

  • That tomato base was refreshing as much as the spice was

  • With my drink is still under $40

  • This dish looked promising from the outset with the onsen egg

  • Chilli crab pizza was filled generously with crab meat

  • The cheese is nicely burnt

  • The pasta itself was okay being it was glutten free but the sauce could have more flavor and been spicier

  • Crispy Fish Fillet Tacos // Tacos with golden snapper and chipotle mayonnaise topped with fresh mango salsa

  • Went for The Academics Breakfast ($25) which comes with an English Cumberland sausage

  • Eggs of your choice with shaved black truffle (scrambled

  • Sunny side up) served with toasted bread and seasonal greens

  • Assembling your own toast with the ingredients is super fun

  • The eggs are topped with shaved black truffle what a way to make you feel like royalty

  • The only thing I didn’t fancy was the sausage

  • One of the recommended items on the TCA menu are the Crispy Fish Fillet Tacos ($23)

  • The tacos come with locally grown snapper and chipotle mayonnaise topped with fresh mango salsa

  • The snapper was fresh and tender

  • The curly fries were also not bad

  • It would’ve been better if they were crispier and served hot (they did come a little lukewarm)

  • The portion was quite small and the food was mediocre and not piping hot when it reached our table

  • Suspect it was the lunch time crowd

  • On the other hand is a whole different story

  • It came right from the kitchen and was thin and crispy while being quite hearty at the same time

  • The latter comes with an interesting peppery kick

  • One of the four signatures the Jawa which is a latte macchiato with Indonesian gula jawa (ie palm sugar)

  • Smooth frothed coffee with light hints of coconut taste (didn't taste any pandan though)

  • This blend is a tad sweeter than the Okinawa and Manduka

  • Overall a good blend but wished it was served hot than lukewarm

  • The sponge cake was layered with buttercream and fresh lychee bits

  • The first bite was bursting with lychee flavour but missing the rose accent

  • Overall a decent plate of pasta with a local twist

  • Chilli crab sauce had a well balanced consistency with a tinge of spiciness

  • I felt that the “twisted” pasta they used was a poor pairing

  • It was too soft with an almost “thick beehoon” kind of texture

  • Otherwise if it were to cost $24

  • Nice for the IG while coffee itself was just pretty but normal

  • We were more satisfied with our breakfast dishes today

  • Their Egg Bens with guacamole was simple but good

  • Their Big Breakfast was also packed with variety

  • The smoked salmon was plump and a delight to bite into

  • Loved the mango salsa that went well with the fried fish but 2 out of 3 of my tacos were flat/stale and not crispy

  • The classic Eggs Benedict has been given a spin by topping the poached eggs with honey lemon guacamole sauce

  • Slightly nutty flavours and silky texture – was served on toasted English muffins

  • It also came with a side of fresh seasonal greens
