What people say about The Dark Gallery (Takashimaya)

  • The Frozen S'mores was smaller than my scoop of ice cream

  • The 80% dark chocolate icecream was great not overwhelming tbh and there was this chocolatey frozen part below the icecream which was rich and sweet

  • On the menu the coffee and chocolate pairing option was under the platter section

  • Oh the red velvet ice cream you see here is so rich and yummy that I don’t need the actually cake anymore

  • Featuring a Graham Tart Shell with dark chocolate ganache

  • Not too sweet on the whole as it is pre dominantly dark chocolate

  • Their signature 80% Dark Chocolate ice cream is a winner that luscious creamy texture with rich chocolatey taste just transported me to a blissful land of chocolate where I do not want to come back

  • Even though the ice cream interior was made of dark chocolate

  • This dessert was a little too sweet for my liking

  • The ice cream was also frozen hard and we had trouble cutting through it

  • Good for people with a sweet tooth

  • Chocolate panna cotta topped with coconut flakes and graham biscuit bits

  • Bottom left we have macaron base topped with chocolate praline spread and ganache

  • Flourless chocolate sponge cake with super chocolatey ganache

  • There is chocolate tart with raspberry at the bottom and a baton biscuit half coated with chocolate

  • We only enjoyed 2 of the 5 items and they were all pretty tiny pieces

  • These sundae waffle bowl creations comes with any 2 scoops of ice cream flavours of your choice that’s served in a chocolate coated waffle bowl

  • We chose the Signature 80% dark chocolate (which is always the safest and almost always the best option here) along with Salted peanut butter that is smooth

  • Creamy and rich with a bold nutty flavour and characteristic hint of saltiness

  • We paired it with Genmaicha and Hazelnut flavour

  • Where the latter is a relatively new flavour that’s available for a limited time

  • The Genmaicha flavour came with a pleasant lingering roasted fragrance which I adore

  • The dried tea leaves embedded within was a hindrance to an ultimate blissful experience

  • Coming with a contrasting texture thats was smooth and creamy texture coupled with a distinct nutty flavour and fragrance that’s lingering and aromatic

  • Fans of marshmallows would be glad to find that the ones here are torched slightly with a hint of burnt

  • Caramelised exterior coupled with an interior that’s soft

  • The Dark Gallery’s signature 66% dark chocolate is presented in four iced and hot drinks with different taste profiles

  • Came served with a mini salted cheese stick

  • Perfect for those with a sweet tooth

  • The Sucré is a luscious hot chocolate served with white

  • * Sangria classic pairing of cold pressed fresh orange juice with iced chocolate

  • To go along with your drink of choice

  • A heaping scoop of creamy 75% tanzania (that was bitter enough yet had a subtle fruity taste to it which was rly delightful

  • The other cone was 68% ghana and it was equally good

  • Dark chocolate is my much loved sweet

  • The espresso was deep black

  • Full bodied with a tinge of caramelly nutty smoky aftertones

  • The Dark Gallery's new outlet is at the basement level of Takashimaya

  • Though the menu still remains largely similar with more space for retail items

  • Rich hot chocolate infused with spices such as turmeric and star anise

  • Hot chocolate crowned with savoury cream cheese foam

  • Pictured is their Ice Cream Soiree which allows you to customize your own dessert with any 3 ice cream flavours of your choice

  • It'll be served with dark chocolate sauce

  • Signature hot chocolate (from $7) that’s made with pure Valrhona chocolate couverture

  • Is my personal favourite as it is so rich and luscious

  • They up the game by having a variety of Single Origin Chocolate (from $8.50) with selections like 62% Brazil

  • Salted Caramel Coconut and Earl Grey Lavender are available too

  • So enjoy the sweet experience with a cup of chocolatey drink and cakes while catching up with friends
